For the second time ever, ESL Meisterschaft brought its competition to the Castello venue in Düsseldorf. expert eSport had qualified and, despite having to attend with a stand-in, were hoping to put on a good show.
I met up with the team on media day and after pushing through ESL's schedule, we eventually recorded pre-event interviews and headed into the next day. Unfortunately, not having the full line-up on site proved to be a major disadvantage as expert were eliminated early on.
Nonetheless, the players made some excellent plays and gave me plenty of material to work with. The stand-in, Kevin 'kRYSTAL' Amend had some great moments and made it a memorable aftermovie.
This was my first time working with the Tamron 28-75 f2.8, a great video lens with stellar autofocus. Overall I used the same equipment as always, an a6300 with a Zhiyun Crane Plus gimbal, a Rode M3 and Rode wireless mic kit.
