We attended this event in early 2026. At that point, I had recorded and edited about two dozen aftermovies, so I wanted to challenge myself to attempt something original - a movie spoof. After winning the event, I took the coaches and our star player "Jade" aside to record a quick Ocean's 11 parody in the hotel.
The rest was done in post - selecting "heist-appropriate music", structuring our interviews and soundbites to reveal a storyline, a plan for how to take the EQUAL ESPORTS Queens trophy. The intro is evocative of basically every cheaply produced TV show intro from the early 2000s.
