FAMILY is the first event movie that I'm really, REALLY, proud of. It was a perfect storm of coincidences. I came back from vacation just in time for the Rubies to qualify for VCT Game Changers - their first time ever and a much-anticipated conclusion to their stellar rise since April of 2024. Now, it was their turn to win their first Project Queens trophy in Germany as well. Just before the event, we held a small bootcamp and I had the opportunity to sit down with some of the players, ask them about their Game Changers qualification and get their thoughts on the upcoming Queens finals.
I had lots of questions prepared, but I was especially anxious to hear their responses to this one question: "How would you describe ALTERNATE aTTaX in one word?"
When we came around to Blossi answering the question, she said the word I had been dreaming about: "Family." I had wanted to call the movie that ever since I came up with the idea to incorporate the Game Changers experience. The Rubies are a unique experience and they differ from any other team that I have worked with in the sense that they understand the value of communication. They don't hold back when there's issues and they try their best to work them out before they fester and become insurmountable. This aftermovie was a fitting conclusion to their first (and by no means last) breakthrough.
